- I have a 28.8K ComStar and Bitware and I have, after some fiddling,
- managed to get the voice mail and distinctive ring working
- satisfactorily. We don't have CID available here yet so I don't know
- whether that will work or not. The main points I found to getting it
- up and going was the need for Memory. The help says that it will run
- on a machine with 8meg that maybe true but don't try running anything
- else! I have 16 Meg and found Bitware unreliable until I turned off
- the Screen Saver. The other unsatisfactory aspect of the setup was the
- background noise of the speaker, also the poor quality of the
- recordings either from a remote caller when leaving you a message or
- when recording system messages locally, I was able to gain significant
- improvements by shielding the modem card from the video card. This was
- simply done by sandwiching some aluminium foil between two pieces of
- cardboard using adhesive and then attaching this to the underside of
- the modem card.

- Works for me.
